Volks Addresses the Nihonbashi Takashimaya Incident

Interesting news on Facebook today: Volks has decided, due to incident at Nihonbashi Takashimaya, to change their method of sales for Lorina II. This probably comes as a relief to many who sought to purchase this elusive girl. If you missed out on the previous drama, please feel free to use the links above to catch up.

Volks Inc has notified fans that, while the updates as to the terms of sales are not known yet, they can rest assured that Volks will be addressing the issue. They do not mention whether they have honored the previous sales. The follow letter is reposted with permission from facebook:

Thank you for your continued patronage. Based on the situation of Kyoto Takashimaya Preorder Sale, we have decided to change the selling method of SuperDollfie® Graffiti girls Lorina II, fashion collection at Nihonbashi Takashimaya,  Nihonbashi Jyuichi from originally posted method in in “Volks news Vol.78” published in early April.

As soon as details are decided, we plan to guide you through the Nihonbashi Takashimaya website (www.takashimaya.co.jp / tokyo /) and the Volks website (www.volks.co.jp).

We sincerely hope for your understanding.

Concerning the sales method for Junichi Nakahara “SD Graffiti Girl Lorina” -Blouses Collection-

Junichi Nakahara · Petit version SuperDollfie® Graffiti Girls Lorina ~ Blouse collection For door paintings ~ About the method of selling which we announced in [Takashimaya Salon April issue] will be changed as follows as below. Humbly thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sales Method:

(1) We will change from “order receipt by receptionist reception” to “sales by lottery”.

(2) We will change from “two persons per person” to “one person [* 1] per person”.

(3) Number of sales: 100 bodies

(4) Application period: Wednesday, May 16 – Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th (Sunday) 10:30 am to 5:00 pm

(5) Application location: Nihonbashi Takashimaya Main Building 1F

(6) Price: 124,200 yen including tax

(7) Payment and delivery method: We will only be cash on delivery delivery to your home

(8) Delivery is about 2 months .

(9) Please be sure to read “Attention on application” below


Notice on Application

1) ※ 1: Delivery to the same address will be 1 body.

2) * 2: About cash on delivery Delivery Please pay shipping fee (For details, see page 2: “Nihonbashi Takashimaya Delivery Fee Chart”) and cash on delivery fee (324 yen including tax). · For payment, please refer to cash and Takashimaya gift certificate etc. (For details, see page 3: “Cash vouchers such as gift certificates that you can use with cash on delivery”). For cash on delivery delivery, various credit cards can not be used. For cash on delivery delivery, various points are not eligible. Takashimaya shareholder preferential ticket can be used

3) During the term, the prescribed application form will be handed out for one person per person. Please hand in the application form to the staff of the first floor of Uehomoto-ku, where you fill in “name”, “home address”, “telephone number” on the spot

4) Only one piece will be valid even if you submit multiple entries

5) In addition, for winners: after a strict drawing, we will return the announcement with the shipment of the product.

  1. It’s good that Volks is addressing the issue. Makes you wonder why they didn’t use this method to begin with, but I’m sure there’s a reason. . . . Anyway, this makes it more likely that Lorina will go to collectors, so that’s good.


    1. Apparently it was because it was a collaboration with the department store? The store itself ran the sales for some reason and the debacle ensued. It just sounded like there was poor communication and planning between Volks and Takashimaya. :/
